Kitchen Showroom

Managing Director Alan Dixon's dream of owning and running his own Kitchen and Bedroom  showroom became a reality when in 1999 he  discovered an Ideal location in Penistone ( down by the riverside would you believe! ) for the base of operations. it would prove to be a great find as by the end of the year 2000 Riverside Interiors had already emerged as the local company that led rather than followed fashion.

Putting together a manufacturing base as well as a kitchen and bedroom showroom on site in Penistone,Barnsley meant that any  special requirements or one off design specifications could be introduced there and then, causing little or no delay in the delivery schedules. From the outset Riverside Interiors became a true family business with the introduction of Alan's wife Lorraine who took on the busy roll of invoicing and accounting, and Karen, Alan's sister who was introduced to run the showroom whenever Alan had to go out on the all needed home visits, and John, Alan's father who helped deliver the furniture and appliances. Even Margaret, Alan's mum who from time to time sat in on a Saturday to fill in whenever Karen needed a break or holiday. The friendly easygoing atmosphere that was created back then has carried through to today with many new customers regulary commenting on how warm a reception they encounter when they first arrive.  

It wasn't long before further help was required and along with added installation teams and even more factory staff,  By 2003 further staff had been introduced both to bolster the showroom, admin and factory  allowing Alan to concentrate on the ordering of materials and growing the business even further. the 10th Anniversary of Riverside Interiors was celebrated throughout 2009 and was met with great ceremony along with an update of the livery to the vans, a refurbished showroom fascia and the introduction of a new company logo.
